I started testing Branch, the new tool from the founders of Twitter, last week, with a kickoff discussion among a group of people from different facets of the futures field, or people who may have an interesting perspective on the topic. As a test subject, I chose the issue of anti-futures sentiment for which signals are increasingly emerging—many of which invoke the mythical jetpack society broadly credits "futurists" with promising. This is not meant to be a comprehensive discussion, more of a provocative question tossed into the water. Here is the initial discussion, presented without editing. Your comments are welcomed if you aren't already involved.
